This is a small and funny story during my European adventures.

Hey! I am going to Poland…. To this place called rok-cla-vu. “rokclav?” my friend asked me in question. Is that how you pronounce it? And we jumped to Wikipedia page and checked it. It’s VROT-swahf … Heh? That’s totally different from the spelling of the place. And so, I was determined that I will learn to pronounce the city correctly. After all, I am going to live in that city for about 4 days. And for over the next couple of weeks, I have called out the city many…

I am doing a comparison of all food delivery apps that enable restaurants to build their own ordering channels. Last week, I did a review of DotPe. Today, I am gonna be reviewing a product called Thrive. I will only cover the User Journey aspect and won’t cover other aspects of the product.

For the purpose of this exercise, I am looking at Natural Ice creams restaurant’s thrive page.

Customer Acquisition

There is no listing page/app and the restaurant is required to market itself and get customers to their followers. So restaurants should already have an active base of customers that it…

Is there an easy path to the finish line?

“What is the cost of progress?”, I wonder sometimes. We often hear the age old adage that Thomas Edison had failed 100 times before he invented the light bulb. And the classic example that a failed entrepreneur would be more successful at building a successful business than a new entrepreneur. Is it the failing that makes us better to succeed?

At the same time, we have often heard American movies showing us that drug addicts go to rehab centres multiple times in their lives. In the show “The Kominsky Method”, Pheobe, a drug addict goes to rehab for the 9th…

Lewis getting ready to overtake Max

Last week’s Spanish Grand Prix was very exciting and definitely one of the best races I have seen this year. If you didn’t already know, I started following Formula1 just this year, and this race proved to be very educational for me. As I started anticipating this race, I read a lot about the race track in Barcelona. This track has been looked down in the formula1 circle, as it’s incredibly hard for drivers to overtake in a race. So, I was looking to a somewhat straightforward, pole position-takes-winner race.

And indeed I was pleasantly surprised. Just coming out of…

Ever since I graduated from Engineering, I had this notion that one day I will have a startup of my own. It stems from my belief that building a startup means solving a tangible problem that people face today and solving it at scale. For this very reason, I started working at startups from day1 of my graduation.

I have slowly progressed from being an early engineer to a team lead to managing a team of 10 people. I also became part of the management team at my startup, helping implementing processes and policies, and also define the business sometimes…

“Is formula1 a sport?”,

I asked myself, as I have spent the last 30 days following the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. It is a documentary about formula 1 covering the sport from 2018 to 2020 over three seasons of the show.

What I immediately discovered is how difficult the sport is. The sport is especially challenging for the drivers, who not only need to learn the car and the track, but also be the best of the 20 top drivers in the world to be in the sport. Each of the teams have an incredible challenge, building…

Let me tell you a small story…

There was a third year student back when I was studying in college and he aspired to become a Google Summer of Code student, a prestigious internship program that will pay the participant a stipend of 5000$ of cash and a chance to work with and contribute with an open source community for the summer. The challenging aspect of this dream was that no one in his college has ever participated in this program before (even though the program has been around for more than 5 years and many students across the world…

This quarantine has been most unprecedented and many of us have tried to salvage the situation and tried to entertain ourselves as best as we can.

Here are my top 10 productive things to do during quarantine. Hit me up if you think there are more or if you have tried any of these

1. Watch live online shows

i. There are music and comedy shows on Bookmyshow and best part is they are all free and you can bring your own popcorn!!

ii. TakeThatExtraStep is hosting live concerts and other events online. And they are a bunch of young people to hangout with :)

2. Attend Toastmasters

Mere inches from my takeoff.

The last time I wanted to do a trip, I decided to do something different. I joined a school. Not your typical school, a school to become a pilot, a paragliding pilot. I would complete my two courses P1 and P2 of APPI certification at TemplePilots Paragliding school near Talegaon, Pune.

With no knowledge and preparation of the sport, I just went in to the school with an open-mind. I arrived early in the morning at 7am and met people eagerly having breakfast and waiting to start the day. I was immediately asked to have breakfast (which was blessing for…
